Fun Weekend!!

This weekend was a blast! I really needed it! On friday night Me, Sydney, Emily, and Ashley planned to go to Park City to hang out! Some friends of our went with us, Adam, Dan, and Bryan. I've never really been there, so it was cool to walk around...although it was raining, and cold! After we went to Frozone and got yogurt.

On Saturday night after school we went out to Emily's house in Layton. Her parents were so cute and told us to come back every weekend! haha, it was so nice being in a house, and having sunday dinner with them! We had a lot of fun!!

I recently discovered this photographer who takes pictures that imitate Christ, John the Baptist, and these Beautiful angels, I'm in love with.  My mom actually bought me the Angel print and it hangs here in my room so I can see it everyday. I love it. I love the reality of the photos- being that they are real people, and not just paintings.

This week we had our 6th annual Hair and Fashion Show at school. It was SO awesome. The theme was Art and Fashion, and my group rocked it! We were the opening number! I'll write a post about it with pictures once I get them uploaded! Till then here's a pic of me and my friends Sydney and Amber before the show started. Im so glad I decided to take the opportunity and come to Taylor Andrews. I know thats where I'm supposed to be right now, and Im so glad I've met these girls. Even though we've only known each other since January, we've already been through a lot together, they are such good examples to me!

Im home for the weekend and can I just say, I LOVE HOME! I love the weather. I love being with my family. I love my bed. I love all the crazy traffic and normal Nevada drivers. (utah drivers need to learn a thing or two! kill me.) I love that there are normal people and not LOVESICK college students everywhere. lol, I love my cats, and my puppy. Lastly I love hanging out with my mom. She loves me! haha, We talk everyday on the phone when Im in Provo , but it is so much better sitting on the couch with her while she sews and watching a movie and just talking. She is the only thing that keeps me going, and positive about things! She is cutest, sweetest, most patient, and giving Mom, Noni, Sister, Dauhgter, Aunt, Leader and Friend anybody could ask for. I LOVE YOU MOM.

sit up Leah!

I have officially decided my posture is terrible!!  As I sit at school working on my Manikin head or in my Theory book I've noticed that all the girls around me have awful posture... and then I realized I do the exact same thing they do! Its SO unattractive. Ever since I've made this discovery I am constantly sitting up, and pushing my shoulders back. The second the word "posture" enters my mind or I see someone slouching I sit up. but I know like 3 mins later I'm probably in the same ugly position again! I don't want to be a crouched old lady. lol, why did I quit ballet?!?

I'm working on it though. I found this website and they have some exercises to help strengthen the muscles that are used for good posture. check it out...

so this week hasn't really been too exciting...

Same old, same old at school. Its a lot of fun! but such a long day.

On saturday Nordstrom had their annual spring fashion opener and me and a few girls from school went and styled hair all day. It was really cool. I burned my hand really bad with the straightener and I have a blister burn on my 4th finger from my curling iron.  OUCH.

This past week has been pretty darn good and here's why.

my beautiful new car, and rims. makes my day everytime I see it. hahaha

I have become friends with the coolest girl at school. I know we'll be friends for a long time. This is Amber.  :)

I got to hang out with natalie this weekend! we went roller skating with some friends, and then to the hot springs...AND she invited me to go stay with her for a few days this summer at her house in San Clemente California! yay. beach...here I come.

Tanner brought me back a Minnie Mouse T shirt from Disneyland. She's my FAVORITE.

And lastly, My niece is letting my cut her hair when I go home next. Im excited...

so...If you cant handle gross things. Don't read.

Three weeks ago I got a small zit on my face. not uncommon right? so I continued my daily routines... school, gym, friends, blah blah blah. Everyday I noticed the breakout getting worse and worse. Not to mention it was painfully itchy. I finally decided that saturday to go to the urgent care. Nothing i tried worked, I couldn't take it anymore.  When I got to the doctor they diagnosed me with IMPETIGO! gross i know. Guess where I got it from?! THE GYM!! even more gross! I had to throw away all my make up, wash all my clothes, sheets, towels. and disinfect everything.

He gave me an oral perscription and advised me to buy OXY a benzyol peroxide face wash. harmless right?

Poor me didn't know I was ALLERGIC to benzyol peroxide. hah, so the next day my face was bright red, because it basically burned my face off, and I couldn't open my eyes!! my face was so swollen! the worst part...I had to go to school because it was my first week! everyone at school thought I was a freak.  Finally after 3 weeks I am healed. and my classmates have seen my real face, hah, they were a bit less scared.

If you notice in the "birthday weekend" post my face is still a bit red. ick.

what I've learned from this...

1.) do not touch your face at the gym!!! not even an itch.

2.) wash your hands. duh leah.

3.) don't judge people who's faces are broken out! it could be worse!

4.) maybe test a small area of the face before using a new face wash. lol

5.) be grateful for clear skin! even if there is a zit or two. haha
